Phone cabling is regulated work under the ACMA cabling rules and should be carried out by, or under the supervision of, an appropriately registered cabler. We handle extensions, relocations and full PBX cabling, and move legacy on-premise systems onto VoIP without dropping numbers on the way.
What's included
- Extensions, relocations and new handset points
- PBX cabling and handset provisioning
- Legacy PBX to VoIP migrations
- Number porting coordinated with your provider
- Work carried out under cabling registration
Questions we get asked
Can we keep our existing numbers on VoIP?
In almost every case, yes. Numbers are ported across to the new service. It needs coordinating so there is no outage in the middle of a business day, which is the part we handle.
Do we still need phone cabling if we go VoIP?
You need data cabling to each handset, and enough switch capacity with power over Ethernet to run them. Often the existing cabling will do — we will check before you spend anything.
